Morgan starred in an informational clip Safe Sex for Men and Women that addressed AIDS education and prevention. The profits from this film were donated in part to the American Foundation for AIDS Research. She's a part of the Entertainment Industry AIDS Task Force. Morgan is a part of the entertainment industry's AIDS Task Group. She has also spearheaded several other fundraising efforts in the fight against AIDS and has testified in front of a specially-created Congressional Commission regarding AIDS Education. She sits on the Board of Governors of APLA. She has been asked to replace the former Surgeon General C. Everett Koop at AIDS-related events. Steve Bell, a news anchor, has also hosted a AIDS Awareness Special. Ted Koppell and Morgan have appeared on Nightline twice to discuss AIDS. Morgan won an Emmy Award for Diane English's special Murphy Brown episode that was created specifically for Morgan. The spring season saw Morgan co-starring alongside Joan Rivers as Your Money or Your Wife on ABC TV. The summer began with Murder At The PTA Luncheon. It was directed by Von Zerneck/Sertner, and also included Cindy Williams & Marla Gibbs. The next part of her project brought Morgan to Luxembourg in which she appeared in the roles of Sherlock Holmes and the Leading Lady in the production of Harmony Gold. Christopher Lee and Patrick McNee were also in the show. Morgan was also the lead in a thriller about psychological issues that was solely produced through the USA Network. It received one of the best ratings ever recorded by the network.
